Final Delivery of the Telecommunication Component of the National Dispatching Project to the Client

MAPNA Power Plants Construction and Development (MD1) delivered the telecommunication component of the National Dispatching Project (NDP) to the client under final delivery conditions.

The area covered by the NDP consists of over 500 regional power substations and centers across Iran functioning based on passive defense policies using a direct distributed information transfer system connecting senders to receivers over an IP-based network with multiple redundancies.

The NDP represents the first information technology project in the electrical power industry running over an IP-based infrastructure.

The project notably features over 800 km of optical fibers laid in the provinces of Tehran, Qazvin, Gilan, and Zanjan to enable communication between the main and backup centers through two independent routes, more than 200 PLC and DPLC terminals, over 400 routers installed on CGR and ASR smart networks across all power plants and distribution substations, and setting up and commissioning an IP-based VOICE network with more than 300 IP phones and media converters at substations and power plants across the country.
