Notification Issued on PAC for the Second Steam Unit of Asalouyeh Combined-Cycle Power Plant

The Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) for the second steam unit of the Asalouyeh Combined-Cycle Power Plant (BOO) was successfully issued on June 13, 2023. The corresponding notification was also issued by the client to MAPNA Power Plant Construction and Development Company (MD-1) on May 8, 2024.

The construction project of the steam generator section of the Asalouyeh BOO power plant, with a nominal capacity of 480 megawatts, is currently underway.This project operates under a mutual sale contract between the Thermal Power Generation Company and MAPNA Asalouyeh Power Generation Company. The project’s execution is entrusted to a consortium of companies within the MAPNA group, led by MAPNA Power Plant Construction and Development Company (MAPNA-MD1). The project scope includes three units of E-type steam generator turbines with a nominal capacity of 160 megawatts each, along with associated recovery boilers, common facilities, and generator station for the power plant.

Previously, the first steamgenerator unit of the Asalouyeh Combined Cycle Power Plant was synchronized with the national power grid in April2020, and the second steamgenerator unit was synchronized in September2022.

With the addition of this power plant, the total number of PACunits by MAPNA-MD1 reaches 152 units, with a combined capacity of 20,736 megawatts.
