On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the second gas unit of the Rashed TorbatHeydarieh block power plant was inaugurated and put into operation via video conference by Mohammad Mokhber, “Head of the Presidency,” and Ali Akbar Mehrabian, “Minister of Energy”.
The TorbatHeydarieh block power plant is equipped with two MAP2B gas turbines, each with a capacity of 183 MW, and a 180 MW steam turbine.
The purpose of building this power plant is to establish a foundation for exporting electricity to neighboring countries and to supply steady and dependable electricity to the country’s electrical grid, particularly in the province of Khorasan Razavi.
Situated in the Asfiukh region and Razavi Khorasan province, the 37-hectare Rashed TorbatHeydarieh power plant is 12 km northeast of TorbatHeydarieh city. It is worth telling that on February 25, 2023, the client received a temporary delivery of the power plant’s first gas unit.
The client of this project is Rashed TorbatHeydarieh Electricity Production Company, and the consultant is GhodsNiroo Engineering Company.
