The first gas unit at Rashed Power Plant was put into operation in Torbat-e-Heydariyeh on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in an official opening attended by Davoud Manzour, the Vice President and the Head of the Iranian Plan & Budget Organization, the Governor, the Parliament Member representing people of Torbat-e-Heydariyeh, a number of province officials, and the project client.

“We are among the top ten countries in the world in terms of building power plants, and our companies construct power plants both inside the country and abroad. We hope to achieve a stable state in economy, supplying energy and ensuring reliable access to gas and electrical power”, said Manzour.

“And today, we proudly put Rashed Power Plant into operation. Hopefully, we will be able to complete this project and put it into full operation by the next year. The power plant is a major achievement in itself. Here at the project site we have turbines, gas pipelines, and power transmission lines connected to the plant. Huge investments have been made and this will play a significant role in development of infrastructures in Khorasan Razavi”, explained the Head of the Iranian Plan & Budget Organization.
